ALBERTA FERRETTI PREFALL 2014
Marine Icelandic landscapes shot by Austrian photographer Josef Hoflhner have inspired Alberta Ferretti’s new collection. The sea in winter isn’t a direct interpretation but just an influence” declares Alberta Ferretti “in his photographs, the ocean looks splendid at any time of day.” Jackets and coats take inspiration from a sailor’s wardrobe, embroideries on denim remind us of officer’s insignia and silk jacquard skirts portray tempestuous oceans, cloudy skies and rays of shining light. The colors are inspired by the stormy northern seas. This palette of nocturnal colors speaks of nature, linking hues of midnight blue to forest greens with flecks of lemon and lime.
